The box features double dovetail joinery, wood hinges, beveled laminated top,liftout divided tray and divider in bottom of the box.  There is a velvet liner in the tray and on the bottom of the box. Plastic pads are applied to the bottom to protect surfaces and to prevent unwanted movement.

The finish is three coats of Danish oil, which is hand applied and then allowed to dry for a week.  Then several coats of wax are hand applied for a silken feel and appearance

The box was included in the 2001 Sundance Holiday Gift Book and was described as being made in "silken cherry"
